Wouldn't Cliff Lee and Roy Oswalt together be better with Halladay, Hamels, etc.

I know you post your inanities simply to get a rise but it is impressive how dumb you can be.

I'd take Halladay/Hamels over Lee/Oswalt any day....

But that's merely b/c Halladay is the best pitcher in baseball by far.

What I meant, was for the Phillies to keep Lee in the off-season and add Oswalt to the mix with Halladay and Hamels.

Halladay
Lee
Oswalt
Hamels
Blanton?

I'd say you missed the point of his comment.

The Phillies should STILL have Cliff Lee, who would then have Oswalt joining the other two.

To schmidtfan:

Rangers in 1st place > Phillies in 2nd place

That is all.

I did indeed. I read it as "Wouldn't Cliff Lee and Roy Oswalt be better than Halladay and Hamels... ::facepalm::

Rangers can't be happy with what Lee has done since the trade. Maybe the window
has closed...and is first place in your pathetic division something to boast about?

me thinks not.

I don't think anyone wants to face the Phillies in the playoffs with Halladay/Hamels/Oswalt and the offense getting healthy. Bullpen is a question, but Lidge has pitched well over the past 3-4 weeks. Lee has struggled lately but you can't forget how he pitched in the playoffs last year. Don't write him off yet.

1: It's not my pathetic division.
2: The Phillies are still in 2nd place. Is that something to boast about?

Swept the Padres and have owned the Reds all season long, once we get in its domination
time.

We'll see.

I really wouldn't mind seeing the Braves go to the World Series, just to give Bobby Cox a resounding send off, but one never knows. So long as someone from the National League (and defeats the Yankees in the process), I will be happy (yes, even if it is the Phillies, at least they will be exacting revenge).
