It's hard to believe that it was 15 years ago today that Cal played in consecutive game 2131.

I remember the Beckett magazine that commemorated 2131/2132 on the front or back cover.

Man, that was a long time ago.

My only "streak" related piece of memorabilia. Obviously the inscription has special significance to me:

I will look for my ticket stub. I remember standing for over 15 minutes clapping. It was just amazing being there.

Today is also the 14th anniversary of Eddie Murray's 500th hr.

Wow, it's been that long since he beat the streak. I have no related memorabilia except a TTM returned request from Kevin Bass. The auto was mailed on the day Cal beat the streak out of Baltimore. Not sure if Mr. Bass or the Orioles mailed items on that day on purpose but a cool item to me none the less.

Here is my favorite Cal card in my collection:

That card is fantastic on so many different levels. Something that many might not realize is that all three of those guys played in "The Longest Game" in professional baseball history.

I was there - hard to believe it was 15 years ago. I was also at the game three years later that ended the streak. Always wondered how many people can say they were at both.

and how many people can name the player to take 3rd that day? Not too many. Just another O's prospect that did nothing.
