Moving into a new home at the end of the month :D , looking to dedicate a room to my mancave/computer room which will be filled with framed jerseys, bats, balls...etc. What baseball memorabilia items would you consider to be "must have"? A few I am am going to include for sure are framed Pujols, Jeter, and Arod jerseys...from there no idea. Looking to initially put about 5K or so into it and then add new items over time. Thoughts and opinions appreciated, being a die hard Yankees fan I will put half the $$ into Yankee stuff. Also I have never really bought any memorabila type items who would you recommend buying from? Thanks in advance, Chris

Autographed baseballs and/or bats are a great start. They generally cost less than jerseys and take up less space.

I have sports illustrated magazines from all the boston championships framed.

I like this idea. You'll still have plenty of room for other things.

LOL guys  ...did you not see the part about being a die hard Yankee fan? That being said, SI from all the Yankee Championships would surely fill up the walls!

I am in the middle of setting my new one up in my new house, figured this was a good time to show the work in progress. More McFarlane's will follow the first one on each side.

Mike, I was making a joke. I am a Yankee fan as well. Subtle knock that the Boston covers wouldnt take up that much space at all

Did you buy these directly from Sports Illustrated?

You can order the covers direct from them, but I decided to use the actual magazine instead of a copy of the cover. I only did the championships during my time as a sports fan, so I didn't need to track down real old magazines. This is what it looks like:

Look through MLB.com's team stores. You should be able to find wall clocks and different things that might add to it. Lamps, blankets, and other wall hangings are in there, some that would look nice signed.

A big TV, and a couch are musts. I would buy a bat rack and put some cheapo game useds on there.

But to be honest, I really don't know what I would do because I don't have a mancave. If my life's plan were to work out, I would live in my grandma's cabin during my college years, and then turn their livingroom into a mancave. But I know that won't work.

As I was typing, I also remember there is a guy around here that takes routered and stained pieces of wood, and takes cards and encases them and puts a name plate under them. We had one made for my uncle who is the ultimate hot wheels collector, and it was a smaller piece (we had a monster one custom made of Earnhardt) but it really put a nice touch on his living room. I had one made of Tracy McGrady. He just takes base cards... and they look awesome! IDK if there are any people who do that in your area, but it would be something to look at.

Careful what you ask for,

This is from a post of mine back in June.

Recently moved and had a room all to myself to decorate as my man room, here it is, let me know what you think.

So the first five pictures are after you walk in, directly to the left, around the room 360 degrees.
Then there are detailed pictures of each area.
