4 out of the 30 played for Commodores, so I am happy. Wish we had Grayson and Esposito all last season though!

Beefy- did you see Marcus Stroman any? If so what are your thoughts on him?

He did not pitch against us in the games I saw at home vs Orleans, both of our games against them on the road were in a double header and I missed those games. Main thing I remembered from Orleans game was Esposito demolishing us in his first game back as a little revenge for us not bringing him back.

See bold below to get my thoughts on players who stood out to me.

I figured I would comment on guys I saw as well.

1. Anthony Ranaudo, rhp, Brewster (SIGNED: Red Sox).

He flat out dominated the Cape, he beat up on my team like he did ever team. At least we scored an unearned run on him.

3. Matt Barnes, rhp, Wareham (Jr., Connecticut).
I saw him on opening day and he flat out crushed Cotuit, who went on to win the championship. He would have been great to watch over the season, but went to Team USA.

4. Jed Bradley, lhp, Wareham (Jr., Georgia Tech).
Powerful pitcher, unfortunately for Kyle Bluestein. He threw a pitch up and in on Kyle that shattered most of the bones in Kyle's face. Wareham worked him like crazy at the beginning of the season, which led to Georgia Tech putting him on a VERY small pitch count per game. They shut him down as soon as the All Star Game ended.

5. Andrew Susac, c, Falmouth (So., Oregon State).
First player who played for my team, he worked as hard as anyone, and was as focused as anyone. I spent a ton of time with him, and his approach to the game is great. He had a slightly frustrating All Star Game performance wise, and came over and sat with me to watch the game after he was pulled out, and I said "Well, the thing that matters the most is, did you have fun?" and he had a huge smile and talked about how it was the best game he had ever played in getting to play at Fenway. We were worried that hitting wise he could have issues before the season, but he worked with a hitting coach and silenced any worries. I am biased, but he should be a star. I never get my picture taken with anyone, as seen by the Lil' Papi pictures, but he was the first player on our team that I ever got my picture with since I became pretty good friends with him.

8. Austin Wood, rhp, Cotuit (Jr., Southern California).
Dear Rays,

Why didn't you sign him. Cotuit doesn't win the title without him.

Love,
Rob

13. Kolten Wong, 2b, Orleans (Jr., Hawaii)
I saw him a few times, and saw nothing unbelievable but the box scores said otherwise.

16. Jason Esposito, 3b, Orleans (Jr., Vanderbilt)
The player from the 2009 team that I talked to the most, great kid, and glad to see his success on Team USA. Wish we had him back on my team last summer, but he had a very rough time in 2009 with us.

17. Tony Zych, rhp, Bourne (Jr., Louisville)
He dominated the entire league, but we were the only team to score off him. So that was pretty cool.

27. Ricky Oropesa, 1b/3b, Chatham (Jr., Southern California)
Demolished the ball all season, his BP sessions were scary, and his performance at Fenway was pretty crazy too.

28. Grayson Garvin, lhp, Bourne (Jr., Vanderbilt)
He was solid for Falmouth in 2009, but got hurt and we didn't bring him back for some reason. He's a tremendous kid, and I'm a huge fan. It hurt me to see him demolish us as bad as he did this season, but was glad to see him succeed.

29. Kevin Medrano, 2b, Falmouth (Jr., Missouri State)
He has the prototype build for a video gamer, but flat out hits. If we had him 100% all season I really think we would have made a better run, but every season someone gets hurts and can crush you. Unfortunately it was Medrano for us this season, but I loved watching him play.

Cape Cod League, great memories of going to see the Y-D Red Sox as a kid with my grandfather through the years.

There was a book written that followed a team (well, a few players on the team) about 7-8 years ago I think called "The Last Best League". I recommend to any baseball fan.

Sorry for going kind of off topic. The league carries some good personal memories.

Is Ranaudo really that good?

His stats from college weren't good...

He came back near the end and pitched lights out for LSU.

My "sleeper" of the draft...but I guess not now ;)
