Nice stuff in this thread! Especially to the OP, although if that is just the "highlights" of your HOF collection, I'd love to spend some time going through you're entire collection! Here's some of my favorite HOF cards...

LOVE this card! I actually pulled this too. Numbered 1/7! Might be my best pull ever!

Holy ****!!!I would just about kill for that.Lajoie is a distant relative of mine. That is incredible. What is the backround story of the piece? How long have you had it?
Mike

Edit to add:Most of my family have changed the spelling of the last name to Lajoy sometime over the years. They now pronounce how they spell it also.

Holy quit swearing thats pretty wild. I bought it on the bay like 9 years ago from a seller that had a bunch of killer Hofers on the same stamps. When the seller was a kid he had some kind of med. issue and spent a lot of time writting letters and sending the stamps out. The stamp even came with a copy of the letter but i am not sure i can locate it. There was a Ruth but it was way out of my budget. It was back when there were a ton of fakes and you could stillget a great deal. It was like $110. I bought a Rc year Pujols signed helmet with Mcgwire around the same time for close to the same $ but they have become cherrished in my pc. My best item i ever had was a 1918 Tigers Team signed ball with Cobb and Jennings. It had George Cunningham signed Geo. ... and on one pannel there was a lot of scuffing and he signed around it so it must of been game used. Bought it for 2000 and sold it to a major auction house that did a road trip to Southhampton ny (1/2 hour from me) he bought it for 3500 cash. It was killer but needed the $ and did pretty well on it. Dont have any scans or pics (i thought seeing it after sale would be like the guy who sold the Braun red 1/1 when it keeps going up in value) It was cool owning it though. Thanks for the comments.
