Jarrod Parker (elbow) will not pitch in this year's Arizona Fall League.
Parker is making great progress from Tommy John surgery and throwing simulated games now with ease, but he's just 11 months removed from the procedure and the D'Backs are going to err on the side of caution. "He looks great," farm director Mike Berger said last week. "But I know he realizes too that we have his best interests at heart." The right-handed prospect had a 3.14 ERA and 95 strikeouts in 97 1/3 minor league innings last season.
