I've never seen a broken kneecap with such separation. That poor guy, but pretty remarkable that he could lob the ball over still.

This is an old video from the past season, and the batter was Austin Maddox.

Pitcher suffered a kneecap that was essentially spilt into two pieces. He was extremely lucky and will likely be fully recovered for this season. The doctors actually fuse the two pieces together.

He was very, very fortunate.
