Whats a 1/1 sketch for a star like clemens, maddux etc go for?

I'll claim a little knowledge -
I assume you mean a 2009 Topps sketch card?
(There are some alternate sets worth different amounts).
The primary cost evaluation is artist, not always player.
There are some artists that I wouldn't even touch a Pujols for $15 because they are so bad, or use media that doesn't interest me.
But I'd pick up the WORST player by Diaz or Horbrecht (sp?) for at least $30.
So yes, if you have a good artist PLUS a good player = sky the limits.

I almost picked this one up but I don't know a thing about sketches. It's a nice looking card.

there are fake where someone get a weak one and erases/ works over original drawing.
There are the "you sketch it" ones
I doubt most that you see on eBay were ever in packs.
Its like a nice patch card were you know its not fake since you pulled it.

It doesn't matter to me if they are pack pulled as long as the artist is good. I have a Hobrecht Babe Ruth that he did on the You Sketch it card. I contacted him and he is doing a Clemente for me right now. For $40 bucks his art is well worth it. I am now getting a Stargell done.
