I know he isnt the biggest name out there but he was #2 in the MILB in ERA last year. Matt Packer for the Indians. Played with White on the Aeroes and was called up at the very end of the year to AAA(never played but was with the team). I would say he even pitched better than White.

Great to see Laird get a little love after winning ROTY and MVP in the same season in the Eastern League..... but how does that only justify 11th? Nonetheless, good to see his name there. If he doesn't start out next year in a platoon situation, he'll be off to AAA to adjust to that level. He had a bit of a drop off after his promotion.

Uh, this qualifies as the oddest moment of my day. I wasn't at my computer for the chat today, but as I read it now I see this:
Joe LeCates (Easton, MD): Matt Hague — starter, platoon guy, bench guy, none of the above?


John Manuel: Not a big Matt Hague believer. Solid 4-A type, don't see him as more for his major league role.

Damn. I just find that really odd. I mean they at least need to ask about something better than Matt Hague! :ugeek:
