Today on Power Lunch they had a segment on alternative investing. The Alternative Investing series has been an ongoing special report series that shows investors alternatives to diversify their equity two years out from the crash. Their website, www.cnbc.com, has a slide show of sports memorabilia items that have increased in value by at least 12% in a years time. The gentleman being interviewed during the news segment had a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle and a Babe Ruth sign baseball and both items were in conditions that made his specimens very rare.
