I'm looking to put together a long list list of places to look for images, like the ones people are using for custom cards, websites, banners, etc.

Yeah, I get that. I had a similar question when I thought about posting images of my cards to a website. Not the same, but concerned nonetheless.

So is everyone with a banner or custom cards stealing and/or breaking the law? Are there sources of public domain images to use? Does "fair use" apply in these cases, and if so, how? Is it relevant if someone isn't profiting from an image, gives credit, etc? Not trying to be a d!ck, just sincerely looking for info here.

Around early June I plan on commisioning and someone to help with a card 9 card set in a series of 3. Photo's will be taken by me and you will also receive some of the sets. Let me know if your interested.

Is this topic taboo, totally uninteresting, are people just secretive about their sources, or is that list basically it?
