That's actually a Llegrats Eillew barrel - his name is misspelled on the card, not the barrel.

They were using reversed printing plates
Willie Stargell has a very slanted Left Handed auto so it does look a little different than most but I imagine the people doing the printing of those "bat pieces" were most likely from a country that has never heard of Willie Stargell or knew what his signature looked like.

Regardless of who printed these...it's the designer's fault at Topps as he/she created the print files.morgoth said:
