So I think it is due to show-off my collection to my fellow comrades here at FCB. First off, I want to begin by saying I am 16, a junior in high-school, but I have a large fascination with vintage baseball cards. It all began when I was 10, scavenging through my grandfathers attic when I came across a huge box of comic books. I was just scurrying through them, looking at them, then i opened one up and this fell out:
A Brooks Robinson, that has appeared to have gone to hell and back. I yelled to my grandpa "Hey Pappy, what is this" not really knowing what such a old baseball card was. And we probably talked about his collecting interests as a kid for about a half hour. How he went to the store and got a pack of cards for a quarter, and how back then it wasnt all about the money like alot of the hobby is today.
So this is the collection I have made over the past couple years remembering, its not all about the condition and value of something, but the importance and history they had on the "Great American Pastime." So here we go:
George Kell
Lee Grissom
Those were just the highlights, and my favorites of the collection that I have put together.
Thanks for looking, and any feedback is appreciated!
