My newest challenge is to collect Jersey/Bat cards of all HOF players from the Yankees.
Since there were only 36 of them, it's do-able after you get past a couple of key players.
I'm not sure that there ARE mem cards for all of them but I'll give it a shot.
Other PC projects under way are all Young Gun sets, even including the comical Collectors choice years.
Cards of all players from Texas.
All cards numbered 13 in the set.
And Autos of all pitchers with No-No's.
but I digress... I started the HOF pc today by picking up these little treasures.

(I saw him play in Houston a long time ago, in an exhibition game at the Astrodome opening)
He hit the first home run in the dome, and literally the first HR indoors!

Then I got his little prize

notice it is crash numbered to his jersey number.
He was fond of kissing babies, and he kissed my forehead just months before he died.
That was at a exhibition /barnstorming game in Atlanta. He didn't play, just waved his hat at the crowd
kissed a few babies and left the field
Gotta write a book someday.....(Once had my butt kicked by Mike Ditka. Like I had a chance?)

I'll have the PC complete by Christmas, I guess. Comments and conversations are always welcome for an old man like me.

Incidentally, I got those 2 cards for a total of $275. Quite a deal I feel.

Babe Ruth actually was on a barn storming game not to far from here. Once the snow clears I am going to take a day and head over there, and if I can get on the field, I will probably grab some dirt from his side of the plate (if he played) just because.

Pretty nice start!
