first the good...

Sergei Gonchar participated in his first full practice this season. he wore a red no contact jersey but skated and completed the practice with no problems. he will still be out another few weeks though.

the bad news...

Sidney Crosby, Max Talbot and Rob Scuderi did not practice today. all 3 suffered injuries last night against the Caps. Crosby fell awkwardly and had to be helped to the bench. Talbot left with an undisclosed injury and Scoods took a puck to the head (it looked like it hurt really bad and they had to scrape some blood off the ice).

Crosby has now been listed as day to day. he said it didn't swell too much and he will try to skate tomorrow and hopes to play against the Ducks tomorrow night.

Gonchar alone isn't going to be able to turn this season around. They need a lot more.

Crosby will be fine. Who is Talbot? (non-factor this season) Hopefully Scuds will be alright.

Get Minard off the 2nd line.

DO NOT DRESS BOTH GODARD AND BIZZ. Bizz only please.

Timmy Wallace up, please?

Mike I agree having Gonchar back will not solve all the Pens problems but he will bring some much needed leadership back to the locker room and to the defense. Orpik is a good leader for the d-men but Gonch has that veteran presence that the young guys like Whit, Letang and Goligoski need.
