Sorry prospectors but lots of older stuff here.

Starting off with some cards for the HOF GU collection. I'm 40 or so cards from having a GU card of every HOFer.

Great stuff!! Love the Club 3000 set. One of the nicer game-used sets of all-time and not nearly as pricey as the 500 homerun set.

Really nice additions, Chris. Especially the Cobb, Rizzuto (love the design of that set), Koufax, and Gehringer. How far along are you on the 3000 club set??

Thanks for all the kind words, guys....

Top - I agree, the Club 3000 is a cheaper alternative to the 500 HR GU set. I pulled a Lou Brock jersey card back in 2001 when the product released. Decided to go after the entire set a couple years ago.

Craiger - Ya know, I still do collect cards every now and then.......along with antlers, horns, and dead critters. :D

Scotty - I'm getting fairly close to finishing the set but I'm not sure I ever will. I have all the jersey cards, bat cards, and all but two cards each of the hat cards and bat / jersey cards. I have three triples (bat / hat / jersey). That puts me around 17 cards short of the entire set. The cards I need are rarely seen on ebay. A triple came up about a month ago that I missed. My high bid was $285 and I lost. Most of the rare cards in the set still command a lot of money. I have a feeling that I'm not the only one out there that's trying to put the set together.

Definitely, and it also offers some nice variety with the different versions. Good luck with it.

Loving the HOF stuff!

FYI (if you didn't already know), the bat on the Jimmy Collins card is actually a piece from an Eddie Collins gamer.

Yep.....I have that noted in the spreadsheet for HOF GU cards that I use. Aren't both T206 Collins bat cards actually Eddie's??

Those pickleheads at Leaf also butchered the Satchel Paige card... he never played for the Milwaukee Braves. The picture shows him with Bill Veeck's Miami Marlins of the International League (Phillies AAA team) in 1956-58

Makes you wonder who's uniform they really destroyed to make that card????? ::facepalm::
