Um, no National or MLB logo anywhere? What's the point? Quote Homer Simpson: "boooring..."

It'll be a hot card, no doubt, but it looks like it came from a Pro Debut release, no?

Wow, I never realized how much Harper looks like a younger, skinny Chris Jericho.

A little like Evan Bourne in that pic to me.

MLB rules say they can't use him in any MLB uniform.

It's going to be annoying watching Topps reap the benefits of another superprospect in 2011 because for the second year in a row, they'll be able to put out ****** products and still sell out due to the appeal of a single player.

BRYCE HARPER LAUNCHES 60TH ANNIVERSARY AUTOGRAPH PROGRAM
When Topps announced its plans for celebrating 60 years of Topps Baseball Cards, it revealed its 60th Anniversary Autograph Continuity Program. These special and unique autographed cards will be offered throughout its baseball lineup in 2011.
And because 2011 will be a special year for not just Topps, but also its collectors and the hobby, Topps feels that this celebration needs to be kicked off the right way!!!
So…The first 60th Anniversary Autograph card to be offered will be none other than Bryce Harper!
And even better, collectors don’t have to wait until the release of Topps Series 1, because Topps wants to get the celebration started now. This unique card of the 2010 First Overall Pick of the MLB Draft will be found exclusively in the upcoming Bowman Sterling Baseball.
Harper has signed 60 total cards and there are 3 different notations.
· “Happy 60th Topps”

· “Happy 60th”

· “Happy Birthday Topps” (image attached)

The hobby exclusive Bowman Sterling hits shelves January 19th and guarantees 2 Autographs and 1 Relic per pack.

Not that the card itself isn't cool, and I get why they're doing Harper obviously, but to celebrate 60 years of Topps, and to "kick it off in the right way", featuring a guy who has never played professional ball seems a little disingeneous.
