Anyone else impressed by BDP's...surfaces?

Am I the only one noticing the awesome surfaces (especially on the base autos) on these cards? I mean the print lines, scuffing and other issues are few and far between...they look immaculate!

Granted, I only opened 16 boxes but still, they look great and kudos to Topps for that!

And the curling isn't nearly as bad as BC.

Did anyone notice that the Printing Plates are reversed again?

I'd say it isn't a coincidence.

Actually the centering on most are pretty decent as well. In my boxes, I only pulled one or two TRULY OC cards.

I still had some anthax powder in my bdp packs. But not as bad as it was on topps chrome.

The powder is used to prevent scratching while being handled by machines.

All of my Strasburg chromes have been OC, in fact they are the only cards outside of a few that were noticeably OC. I wonder if they were cut at a different time.

I'll concur that the surfaces look great.

But 80-90% of my base chrome prospects were 70/30 or worse centering L-R.

Surface look great but I had two boxes with 30/70 centering on the prospect cards...both boxes from the same case.

centering is more of an issue this year. The surfaces are clean.
