A little heavy on the kids, no? That team is nowhere near competitive. Not yet, anyway.

Ughhh....fantasy baseball and prospecting rarely mix, this is one (current or former) "top prospect" heavy roster.

You probably don't have single player that will produce results in the top-20, so it looks off to me. How many teams are there?

It's a prospector's dream, but doesn't look like a team that is ready to compete in 2011. just my 2 cents.

shockingly i actually made the world series last year (don't ask me how). I lost actually snuck in and rode Posey to the WS.

I agree, a few are ready but Arencibia sucks. I have a black ref if you want.

Posey, Tulo are top at their positions, no?

Half a year makes Posey top of his position?

That's crazy talk.

I'll disagree a little, I'm in a similar league except it's a 12 man keeper with 25 man minor league roster. I went heavy on the kids and finished 5th out of 20 and should be in the top three next year. If you want to compete the first thing I see is I would package Rasmus or McCutchen with Richie Sexson to get a legit 3B.

Other than that it is hard to tell unless we know how many teams are in the league.

I agree. I'd like to see Posey put up numbers like he did in 2010 through an entire season before I'd rank him ahead of Mauer, V-Mart, and McCann.

As for Tulo, he's close, maybe Top 3, but I'd still say Hanley for #1 at SS.

I was going on 2010 points and expectations for 2011 points.

Sure, we can project that Posey will be a top-5 catcher...but I'm talking about top 20 in points.

Tulowitzki is also a top-tier SS, an while close...he still isn't in the top-20 in points.

Really not a bad team at all.

You need Reynolds to bounce back and have to hope Prado will duplicate his 2010. Problem is that Prado likely will not be a 2B next season.

You can use another good arm.

I like your OFers, but you need one of them to break out already and no longer just have potential. It can be great, but right now, I bet it is frustrating to own.

Young players are unpredictable and you're counting on them almost exclusively. But whatever.

You have to be getting killed in wins. While all your pitchers are decent. None of them get wins. Sadly I know, I've had a few of the same guys over the years.

very very young team. that can be very very good or very very bad . that beign said you will finish either top 3 or bottom 3. its a good lineup and a good breakthru season or two and you could win the league. pitching is average at best

Ok here's the thing. To properly judge your team you have to explain how your league is set up. In a vacuum your team looks way too dependant on unproven commodities in the youthful players.
We need to know:
how many teams?
how many players are actually started?
daily or weekly transactions?
how long can you keep a player under your control?
do you use a salary cap?
is it 5x5? if not what catagories do you use?
head to head or rotisserie?
are all of the players in MLB available or play?
do you only use MLB accumulated stats and not MILB?

Answer these questions and I'd be happy to give you an honest evaluation of your team.
Joe
