What are some good products to start on?

I am a beginner hockey collector, only have busting some OPC and Victory retail, along with a BAP blaster (and some 90's stuff)...

What is a good recent product to open for a beginner (like me)?

Upper Deck series 1.

Its the Base UD brand, that is very popular with set builders and RC collectors. The Young Gun rookies are the most popular RCs year in and year out.

Agreed. Series 1 Young Guns are good and hold value. Be A Player is also good starting out. It won't bring back much value, but you can get autos easily of the top stars. I pulled two Crosby autos out of 09/10.

UD series 1 and 2 are great to start out with. SP Authentic is also one of my favourites.
