Does that violate NCAA rules?

Surely the coach wouldn't have donated his kidney to a regular non-athlete student, therefore it's a valuable gift simply because the player is an athlete. Coaches have been fined and programs scolded over taking players out to dinner in the past.

NOTE: I'm partially kidding here. While the NCAA shouldn't do anything whatsoever, it does seem to violate their silly rules.
