I wonder what the print run is. 60? Seems like I've seen just a few more sparkle variations then black borders, but it's close.

It seems that the print run has to be a lot higher than 60. I've noticed a bunch more sparkles than black /60 or silk /50. I'm thinking the print run is at least a couple hundred. I wonder if the print run is the same amount for every player?

I think that 60 refers to the number of cards in the set, not the print run. However, a print run of 60 isn't that far fetched. That would be 3,600 total sparkle cards. You'll see them more often than the black parallels of your favorite player because they make black bordered versions of all 330 cards in the set. However, given the amount of retail they make of Topps Series 1, I am guessing there are a few more than 60 of each card.

I here a lot of people claim the print run of the diamond sparkle variation cards to be 60, but if you look at current and completed auctions on eBay..... 12-15 is on the high end. Jeter has 11 completed and 3 current. Pujols has 10 completed and 4 current. Ichiro has 4 completed and 1 current. Chapman has 7 completed and 2 current. Utley has 4 completed and 6 current. Morel (RC) 4 completed and 2 current...... and so on. I think Jeter and Pujols would be the most listed players. Given that some may have been re-listed or bought and then newly listed, all seems to point to a much lower print run than 60.
I realize some may be on other forums for sale and many may not have been found yet or, heaven forbid, kept and collected.
Some of the sparkle variations are just plain hard to see and may be overlooked.
Also, in today's market, and 60 print run is not rare and, thus, not valuable. So not too many people are rushing to list common players for sale. It seems there are many more sparkle cards out on the market than black bordered cards because people are listing the sparkles for the big payday.

Tell that to my wallet after picking up 631 different Topps Heritage Black Refractors.
