Heritage Classic will be on CBC in Canada and Versus in the USA

With the wind chill it feels like -20C (-4F) out there they just said.

I tossed it on and I think it'll be high scoring. I also started to wonder if the NBA could ever do a blacktop classic. I think that'd be pretty awesome.

These uniforms are supposed to be modeled after the 1920 Calgary Tigers Hockey team that played the Montreal Canadiens for the Stanley Cup.

Blacktop classic I'm assuming simply refers to a similar outdoor game where the NBA plays on a playground style blacktop court. Would be fun but not sure it would ever happen.

That would be a very cool idea for an NBA game. Could do one at a football stadium as well. Would have to be somewhere really warm though, lol.

One thing that sort of bugs me is the amount of crap Cherry's going to give the scheduling of this game.

Every year, every game, every second we hear a player talk about games 1-20 being worth the exact same amount as the 81st game. A game now is absolutely no different than a game 5 weeks ago. The only downside i can see is if someone gets hurt and is out for the playoffs.

Maybe i'm an optimist seeking to believe that players try their hardest on every game because they all want to make crazy money and win the cup.
