I was looking through some old minor league stats

Clicked on this for no reason at all but dang....two consecutive 200+ hit seasons and the guy doesn't get called up from AA ball, that is rough! Shows the minors just weren't nearly as organized as they are today, some scout was not doing his job for about 2 yrs.

It is a better example of how good the minor leagues were back then. There were only 16 teams in the major leagues then. 8 in each league. So imagine if today, half of the players in the major league were in the minors. Pretty crazy.
