Only pick ups this week were inserts minus the duplicate of Tip of Cap. All were purchased from Beckett's Marketplace. I am not a fan of show cards but they are on beckett's checklist and helped justify shipping so they were worth picking up. Nothing too exciting this week but getting closer to 75% with each new pick up (Still over 130 cards away).

And now the question. What exactly is this? It was listed as "2002 ALCS Program Playoff Piece of the Game #ALCS-21 Eric Chavez"

This 100 card set was issued in November, 2002. It was released in six card packs, issued six packs to a box and 24 boxes to a case, which retailed for $16.99 per pack. The first 50 cards of the set featured veterans while the final 50 cards featured Rookie Cards. All the cards from 51 through 100 were issued to a stated print run of 500 serial numbered sets.

George_Calfas: Thank you George, the card is perforated. Were they issued in sheets like sports illustated cards?

1st4040: They were $4 a piece. A pretty good price I think. I wouldn't have paid above $5 but they go well with the Donruss Signature version I picked up years ago.

I believe the card you are asking about was part of a 9-card sheet inserted into the 2002 ALCS game programs. I think there were 4 different sheets in all for a total of 32 cards. The center card of each sheet was a Donruss-Leaf-Playoff logo card.
