Cool! Won an actual prize from Topps!

It happens once in awhile to everyone, I know--but never to me! Redeemed a code this morning, and on my dig, I won a 60th Anniversary set. Pretty cool to win a real prize, instead of more rings--which I still can't trade anyway. (especially since I have doubles that I'd like to get rid of.)

Congrats! That's a nice prize. I'm sure it feels good to win something besides a 1988 Topps card or another duplicate ring.

This is the same prize as reaching 45 rings right? Basically a standard 2011 box set I think...unless there will be special notification on it...which would be very cool.

It sure beat my 87 Topps wax pack "dig."

Congrats! I won the same prize on my first dig, which was nice. I haven't had any previous luck with the redemptions from 2010 or 2011 in regards to actual cards.

Would be nice if the set has some special Diamond Anniversary markings on it. Opens up a whole new problem--keep it sealed, or bust it out for singles? :lol:

Now THAT would be cool, but I don't think that's what it'll be. Shipping for it isn't available until August 15, so I have lots of time to speculate.

well if it's just an entire base set, that would just be a little of a letdown. I was able to put together almost 3 base sets just from buying rack packs and cereal boxes.

:lol: I know! But usually there's some kind of bonus in any Factory set, isn't there? I'm hoping it has some kind of special Diamond Anniversary marking to set it apart. Maybe a different color border, who knows? Still, a freeebie's a freebie, no matter how small. (sorry Dr. Seuss.)

Got 2 of them coming - 1 from the dig and 1 from the 45 rings. They do say "Exclusive" 60th Anniversary set.

Would be nice if it really is something exclusive to the giveaway.

Also had the thought that it could be a miniature set like they did back in 91 or 92 (crackerjack size) They are giving a lot of them away and would cost them less to produce and ship something like that. I'd be satisfied

My guess is the set will be like other factory sets Topps has made - the box will have a special design and there will be a pack of five to 10 insert cards inside.

Yes the MCG is over and done with. I still had 20-some commons left, and now none of them show up.

Crap! Good thing I just had a bunch of junk I guess.
