Just something I was thinking about today. Anyone know? I'm curious.

I think some old Topps products from around the '70s had some redemption cards.

I know 1983-84 O-Pee-Chee hockey had a redemption card.

Interesting. Any idea what they were for?

Weren't the original 1911 T3 Turkey Reds available as redemptions for sending in coupons? Does that count?!

I'm not familiar with vintage, but that is pretty cool.

I was thinking more along the lines of pack-pulled redemptions. I'll change my title.

Not really a redemption. It wasn't produced originally.Collectors wrote the company complaing so they printed it with the 1934 set and mailed it to customers who wrote in.

1992 UD Shaq draft redemption

This is the first one I remember. Topps had a number of "send in sets" and points to collect, but for a specific card, 1992-93 UD 1a Draft Redemption #1 pick was it, I believe. Signature ROokies had a ton, especially for their Autobilia set, in 93-94...

1983 Topps had Instant Win scratch off cards. I won a Topps Homerun Hitters book. 1989 Upper Deck had instant win Mickey Mantle cards and 1991 Topps had instant win cards as well.

For autographs, one of the first I remember was the 1994 Signature Rookies packs. I remember pulling one out of the very first pack I bought (Alan Benes). At the time, I thought this was probably just an anomaly.... :benson:
