Does anyone know how good (or bad) the chances of getting Jim Thome to sign in person is? The Twins are coming to Atlanta for a couple of spring training games before the season starts. I have never had the chance to get Jim Thome, but I have heard from a few people that he is a really nice guy and does occasionally sign at the park. I obviously would want Mauer, Morneau and many others from the Twins, but my decision to drive 2 1/2 hours weighs heavily on Thome. Thanks for any advice you can give!

Thome signs pretty frequently before the game but my experience is that he doesn't sign for long. He'll hit 5 or 10 and that is it. Your best bet might be outside the stadium as he comes in and leaves assuming he takes a cab. If he rides the bus, you have no chance outside as it drives under the stadium.
