Topps Redemptions Finally Received... Blah

I received 29 of my 30 Markakis Tribute redemptions today. I am hoping the last one will show up soon. I redeemed all of these 7-8 months ago.

I have to say it is pretty frustrating to only receive 1 parallel #/50 or less out of 29. I received 18 #/99, 10 #/75, and 1 #/50... None #/25.

Based on simple math, the odds should be

4 out of 10 /99 (12 total)
3 out of 10 /75 (9 total)
2 out of 10 /50 (6 total)
1 out of 10 /25 (3 total)

I have no idea how these were given out though... The redemption cards were not marked for parallels and they obviously are not giving them out completely at random.

Very frustrating experience all the way around. Especially seeing the shady stuff that goes with cards being backdoored, etc... I am assuming all of the higher numbered parallels will be given out first and saving the best for last knowing they won't all get redeemed.

Why wouldn't topps give out the best ones last? That way they have solid inventory to give out as replacments
when other players don't sign.

Topps could stuff cards into packs with dog crap on them and people would still buy them. They are bullet-proof. If
you really want to hit them back post your story on all the message boards you can, facebook and twitter! That is
where their advertisments are.

Still haven't gotten the one I redeemed yet. I'll let you know what it is when I get it.

This post is like many posts I've seen on the box break boards, except here the manufacturer didn't make any guarantee on odds.

How was the serial numbering on what you received? Did you enter all the codes at the same time?

I had a similar experience with the Matt Kemp redemptions...

MK x 6
MK2 x 7
MK3 x 7
MK4 x 4
dual x 10

I redeemed them all at once late last summer and got them in October:

MK /99: 23, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80
MK2 /75: 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 44
MK3 /99: 05
MK3 /75: 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46
MK4 /50: 37, 38, 39, 40
dual /75: 02, 03, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 (missing jersey on the right side), 63, 64, 65

Out of 34 redemptions I only got 6 distinct parallels out of the 25 possible (/99, /75, /50, /25, /1 for each of the five cards). Granted I didn't expect to get a 1/1 but I certainly did not expect to get so many of the same parallel in sequence either.

I still have 3 or 4 more I have yet to redeem too...

When Kemp's went live there were some /50 ones that had part of the size tag as the jersey piece.

Received the last one, #/75...

So out of 30 Redemptions... 18 #/99, 11 #/75, and 1 #/50.

I redmeemed most of them within a 2 week window last summer.

My breakdown was similar to yours. Certain card numbers I received all #/99, and other card numbers I received all #/75.
