1997 Topps Gallery Permanent Collection vs PPI?

those are 1998. the Permanent Collection is the standard card. the PPI is serial numbered to 250
then you have a Permanent Collection Gallery Proofs serial numbered to 125.

I think the different base cards had different "themes" on them, as my Olerud says "Expressionists" instead of "Permanant Collection".

The fronts have different picture frame styles, different border colors, and have different text at the bottom. Private Issue has the little spotlight on top of the picture frame, have a canvas-like texture, and, as nosterbor mentioned, are serial numbered. The Permanent Collection is the base card, the PPI is a parallel insert.

If memory serves me right, there are 4 different frame styles to the Permanent Collection cards.

There are also Auction point cards that look like the PPI cards. The Proof cards look like the Permanent Collection cards on front.
