Knowing a little about Lidge, I don't think he'd be selling his soul to the devil for any amount of success on the field. That being said, it does look like he left it ALL out on the field in 2008.

Reminds me of what happened to Robb Nen in 2002 he pushed himself through an injury to try and win the Series but instead the Giants lost and Nen's career was over in another season or two.

So worth it!

But I didn't like the new contract then and certainly not now. I understand how they it would look if they didn't do it, they would look like the Eagles. :lol:

But, like the Eagles usually make (Dawkins being the exception), it would have been the right decision.
