Let's hear it Giants fans. Has Brandon Belt been overmatched so far? I saw him opening day and he held his own against Kershaw. The only other time I saw Belt was him looking bewildered by Kuroda's four seamer swinging back over the inside part of the plate. Belt stood there like he never saw a pitch like that before.

I'd like to hear what some of the Giants fans think that have seen some of the games.

Belt looked pretty good in the opening series against the Dodgers, which I was able to watch all four games of. He's young and will catch on. I think he has the tools to become a star and will be their offensive leader in a few seasons. I'm a Dodgers fan but I was impressed by the kid.

I guess you could say that Brandon...is getting belted.

Insanely small sample size. Lots of guys get beat up for the first month of their first MLB season (and for that matter, lots of vets get beat up for the first couple weeks of every season) before putting it together. I wouldn't worry about it.

His Elites have come crashing back down to Earth. Were selling for $110-130 for the /610s.... looks like they are now $50 in only a week...quick fall.

No **** sherlock, that is why the Giants completely revamped his swing.

He has not been overmatched, just seems like he is getting adjusted so far.

Admit it, he's been overmatched, and over-rated by some prospectors. The hype train has left the station without him now.

All of his hits this season have come after seeing the pitcher once. He's really good at making adjustments in the game. He hasn't looked that good against pitchers the first time around. I really like about him is the fact he's able to make those adjustments in the game. I think he'll be fine.

You are quite a nasty, arrogant little boy. Hopefully you will mature.

Why thank you grandpa, have u seen how that guy acts, he deserves to be treated like that; plus everyone who knows anything about Belt knows the Giants changed his swing...

The season has just begun. Even so, I wouldn't say Belt has been over matched. The upcoming series against the Dodgers Monday-Wednesday will let us know more about Belt. Seeing how this will be his second look at their pitchers.

.........Not as much as that .288 Slugger called Albert Pujols

Albert has hit into 28 outs in 28 at bats this year.......

....2 runs scored, 5 hits, and 5 doubleplay grounders, and 8 total bases in 7 weak games played
