Alright, so sadly, I am going to have to start with a rant...
I got there about 34-35 minutes before the signing, and ended up 18th in line, which wasn't bad, but I had to stand next to some kid SCREAMING his head off. It was someone looking at doors, and it hurt the ears a little. Then, also... the mom escorted the kid out of the area, and some older folk standing behind me were laughing and saying odd things about the situation. They made everyone around them feel awkward.
They were also handing out balloons to the younger kids as well. That's fine and dandy, but then they would pop them because they got so bored. They would hit each other with them, or poke them with the sticks they were on. Needless to say my ears are still numb from that (they were thinner balloons filled as full as they would go... and they were on plastic sticks instead of strings that easily came off. KABOOOOM!)
I know, it's kids being kids. The weirdest part was the guy walking around with a yard stick stuck out his pants :?
NOW to the good
First off, I was 18th in line, so I was in and out. He was a very nice guy. I wish I had something to say to him, but I didn't except for the "Hi Neal, how are you? Good, thanks! Here you go, thanks, thanks, thanks again!" but that's fine. He was talkative to people, and he had his...
GOLD MEDAL!
...with him. I didn't have an iPod or a camera, but I did snap a pic with my phone (IDK how to get it onto the computer though).
I had 2 pucks, but I saw he would sign somebody's item and say "Let me get you a picture." I thought the 8x10s looked cool, and would rather have had 2 different items than the same item, so I put one puck away. They are flimsy, but they are really awesome!
The guys organizing the thing must not have anticipated any pucks being signed... he had no silver Sharpie  But one of the guys in line gave him one to use, so I got my puck in Silver He was signing REALLY big so I didn't ask for an inscription. I figure I can send him an index card with a gold pen and ask for that TTM.
Overall it was a great experience, and I was glad that I got to see him, and his medal. (He also had a jersey there. IDK if it was GU, it had a 75th year patch on it though).
