eBay split the cost?

Anyone else see this? Saw it yesterday for some items in my watch list, but the option has disappeared for me. It offers people to choose someone by linking their Facebook account or eBay account, and splitting the cost of an item through PayPal, or credit card.

Pretty interesting concept, no?

Curious to how it works. Seems like some of the group could do a chargeback since it wouldn't be shipped to them. And how does it force everyone in the group to pay.

I hadn't heard of this - thanks for your post. Very interesting idea. I am beyond skeptical as to how it will work though...
