Hey guys

After some talks with Brent, who busts case after case of product and flips it on ebay, this site was born.

Note the FCB widget on the right :D

That'll be handy.

I'm sure you're doing it, but creating a page structure that relies on eBay/epn RSS to populate itself would be a great way to showcase eBay auctions and make him some change on the side. I think there's a wp-widget that does it.

werd.

But you know what i'm saying?

Create a page structure (and add to it during each product)

FOR SALEZ
---Topps
-----2011 Ginter
---------ENDING FIRST
---------HIGHEST PRICED
---------Autographs
---------SETZ
---------GU
-----2011 Heritage Minors
---------ENDING FIRST
---------HIGHEST PRICED
---------Autographs
---------SETZ
---------SP
---UD
-----2011 Goodwin.
---------ENDING FIRST
---------HIGHEST PRICED
---------AUTOGRAPH
---------RELIC
---------BLAH

And then for each page, you can gently hack RSS IMPORT to include the IMG and put each Item Matching the corresponding item inside a table cell.

Each page will only have [rssimport OPTIONS ebayfeed.xml] but will populate it with 20? 25? items that match the actual search.

I'm glad brent has a website, get to see a lot of stuff straight away.

I'd have to brush up on ebay API

1.Install the RSS Import Plugin for Wordpress..
2. Create Page Structure However you want it with parents and stuff
3. In your EPN, click WIDGETS -> RSS FEED
4. Fill it out as you normally would for each page you created. For AUTOGRAPH. I went with "2011 Ginter AU* -(hot*,pack,box,case)
5. Put in brentandbeccas name in the seller thing.. order by whatever. you know this stuff.

Generate the link..

7.In the page you've created click the RSSIMPORT BUTTON.

8.Change the feed url.

Now.. the options:

diplay = "20" or whatever. 50? from "5"
html="TRUE" from false
truncatedescchar="10000" from like "100" -- just use a big number
target ="_blank" from ""

(you can also change paging = "TRUE" if you want the feed on multiple pages. I just tried it and it works fine)

click.

Excuse my table css. I'm not going to change it for this.

Well you're specifying it from him, so when i wrote the structure above, I figured that everything at the very least would be covered by at least one category with "ENDING SOONEST" being a catch all.

So for each product, you'd have a minimum of one feed "PRODUCT NAME" order by ENDING SOONEST. Each page in the tree (however you build it) would get it's own RSS feed.

with a maximum of however you want to split it up.

He's pretty consistent in listing in terms of using "SET", "AUTO", "GU", "SP"

so

2011 Ginter (the main ginter page) --
---Ending Soonest your rss feed will be "2011 Ginter, sorted by ending soonest"
---Highest Price "2011 Ginter" sorted by highest price first
---Autograph "2011 Ginter AU*"
---Game Used "2011 Ginter GU"
---Sets "2011 Ginter SET*"
---SP "2011 Ginter SP"

So for 2011 Ginter, you'd create 6 different RSS feeds and maybe 7 if you wanted the main ginter page to have something on it.

RSS import does not display the images by default.

Did you change those options I listed?

Just put the url in there and give it a go.

Code:
[RSSImport display="25" feedurl="FEED URL" before_desc="
" displaydescriptions="TRUE" after_desc=" " html="TRUE" truncatedescchar="10000" truncatedescstring=" ... " truncatetitlechar=" " truncatetitlestring=" ... " before_date=" [size="1"]" date="FALSE" after_date="[/size]" date_format="" before_creator=" [size="1"]" creator="FALSE" after_creator="[/size]" start_items="<ul>" end_items="[/list]" start_item="[*]" end_item="" target="_blank" rel="" desc4title="" charsetscan="FALSE" debug="FALSE" before_noitems="

" noitems="No items, feed is empty." after_noitems="</p>" before_error="

" error="Error: Feed has a error or is not valid" after_error="</p>" paging="FALSE" prev_paging_link="« Previous" next_paging_link="Next »" prev_paging_title="more items" next_paging_title="more items" use_simplepie="FALSE"]
