Not really sure if anyone cares to see, but I made a bonzi trip to Arizona for the All star game festivities, with my roommate. I missed the futures game which sucked, but still had a lot of fun. Hopefully I can do it again someday.

There TV in Center field is amazing just like the whole ball park. Coming from an open air home park this was the most amazing thing i've ever seen. Really different watching a ball game from in here.

autographs were nearly impossible to come by, I heard some people found a hotel and grabbed a bunch, but only tried at the ballpark and fanfest, but I still nabbed a couple


Pretty bummed Robertson wouldn't grab my sharpie because I am working on getting that whole projection set signed, but what can ya do.






My prized possession from the week, probably one of my all time favorite players. Really cool the way the AZ fans supported him all weekend.

Sick Upton jersey autograph!!!! Where did you land that?

Chase field is a great place to take in a game and the Dbacks claim that it is the best value in major leagues is true. Seats are affordable at all levels and its a great place to get out of the heat and enjoy a baseball game...

Yeah, concessions, seemed very affordable as well. It was quite an experience, to be honest with you. Totally different from Angels or Dodgers Stadium.

The whole Upton thing was pretty crazy. We arrived in Arizona at 4 am Monday morning so we missed the early stages of fan fest. When I got there I decided to jump in Rollie Fingers line, all the autograph lines were free. It took me about an hour to get through the line. When I was approaching the end of the line I got to the talking to the volunteer who was working the line, and I was curious who they were going to get to sign next because Dick Williams (rip) was obviously not going to be able to make it. She told me that they were going to have Upton, but he was only going to sign 50 items, she told me they were about to form a line. By the time I got through with Fingers I was number 34 and the wait was on. Fortunately, they let me out of line while waiting for J-up to arrive and I wanted to get something cool for him to sign, since I already have had him sign a ball in the past, and I didn't want to get him to sign a card I tried to find a jersey. My options were the jersey about for 175 or a game-model Dbacks jersey for 280. I wanted to walk across the street to the Dbacks store but Fan Fest was no re-entry so I was kind of stuck. But I thought it was a cool opportunity, Justin would be sitting down, it was free, and it would be immediately MLB holgramed so I went ahead and bought the all star game jersey for 175. Justin was as nice as could be.

I might have seen you. My brother and I also got Cole Hammels and Matt Kemp on a baseball. Where yours after they hoped off the cars?

Did you get anyone inside? I didn't but my brother got Michael Young, Chris Perez and Justin Verlander on the same baseball as Hammels and Kemp (we were at separate spots).

I went down for a while, but no one was doing anything and I was exhausted so I just went and chilled at my seat. I saw a few people doing some stuff while I was sitting but it was no where near where I would've been and there was a massive amount of people. Obviously I could've gotten autos from a bunch of announcers or retired players through the weekend, but wasn't really interested in Al Lieter. Kevin Millar, Bud Selig, Sean Casey, Harold Reynolds, etc...

Hell, I might have even seen some of you guys! We got Fingers, Upton, and Maricial at the FanFest. I tried my best to get Cal but he wouldn't sign for me and kindof ran out of there. Missed Verlander and Smith by about 5 feet but Michael Young came right over to where we were standing. Also got Votto on a ball as he was exiting the red carpet. Did you guys go for the Futures Game? That was the best. Was able to find out where they were staying and about nearly ran out of cards. It was a little difficult to recognize some of the players though.

I also hoped to get Cal but it was pretty difficult. A lot of people waiting for him when his show ended.

Just of curiosity what hotel was it? Never knew of the prospects hotel and/or the legends hotel.

Futures were at the Wyndham. Got there on Saturday right as they were arriving. Got pretty lucky to find out, my dad overheard some agent on his flight to AZ talk about it. The legends were at the Hyatt right next door. Most of the actual All-Stars were out at the posh Biltmore resort which was about 6 miles from the stadium but I heard they wouldnt let you get near stepping foot inside.
