Have to ask, did you contact the seller? Could it simply be an honest mistake?

Contacted him, but no response yet. I guess it could be an honest mistake, but that's not going to help the auction winner, when he or she gets the actual card from Topps a year from now, and it's too late to do anything via ebay or paypal.

If the seller is honest, he'd offer to refund the buyer's money if he did not find out until after it is over. Hopefully that's the case.

Ehh... the listing was misleading and that was his first thought. When the idea that the listing was a mistake he took the steps to contact the seller and help fix the situation. That's better than most do...
