I live in SoCal and was at the Santee Flea market last weekend and a gentleman attending( not me :-( ) had a once in a lifetime find and picket it up for all of $5.00. It was a 1923 Columbia University Yearbook with Lou Gehrig in it. I believe that its a $2500.00 Yearbook at least. Some guys have all the luck but I will eventually get my find. Just wanted to share.
Thanks: AJ

The Columbian?

Nice find. Where did you get your $2500 figure from, though? Don't get me wrong, it's a high dollar find.

I saw some values online. I saw one that was $2500.00 and one that was $5000.00 from 1924. Dont get me wrong. Those were estimates or asking prices. Not confirmed sales but I could find confirmed sales.
Thanks: AJ

So then 10 years later with a 10 percent increase in price over those years will equal the 2500 ;)

The Market has taking a down turn over the last 10 years so by that logic(10% decreas per year) the value could be around $420.00.

Nice find. Typically university yearbooks are worth less than high school yearbooks due to the quantity produced. More students = more yearbooks. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a $1000 book.

Yeah but 88 years later, how many could be hanging around? But then I guess if you're looking at Gehrig, his HS yearbook would be even older, and that much more scarce...
