So this was the first National I've attended since 1995!
Had a great time! Our hotel was literally right across the street from the new Rivers Casino which made for long nights. The slots were very nice to me, but it is never enough when you are surrounded by wax dealers! Everyone I met was incredibly awesome at the FCB booth as well as the guys from Blowoutcards. I was pretty impressed with the Panini booth when they were actually giving away the wrapper redemptions, they need to crank up the presses and get more made for upcoming Nationals. They ran out waaaay too early each day. I was fortunate enough to be in on the hats, photos, and Subban below. Press Pass was Ok, I wish I would have watched their "Pack Wars" before I spent $55 on a Premium Box to enter. In the Game guys were awesome and had probably the best redemption there. When you opened a box of Ringside Boxing and Decades Hockey, you drew a raffle ticket. That number corresponded to a 1/1 that they gave you. Mine was Lennox Lewis and Richard Brodeur. Saw some ridiculous Ali and Frazier 1/1s too. Onyx was cool, but the guy running the booth knew lilttle about how much their products cost. Upper Deck was ok, and Topps shouldn't even show up next time if that is all they can do. Two guys sitting behind a table doing absolutely nothing. They came off as pompous and didn't even try to interact with their customers. I literally probably saw 25% of the show in two days. My goal was pretty much to bust wax that I normally wouldn't unless I was there. I don't do vintage so I was able to skip quite a few tables.
Here are some of the items I pulled, and I'm sure I will have more to show later:
Banuelos Onyx Ball
Ringside Boxing (the guy from ITG said this was one of the best packs in the product.
The Letter is actually from the waistband of the trunks and is a 1/1:
Decades Hockey
The Blackhawks card was a National exclusive and the Kurri is /6
Leaf Mystery Printing Plate Pack
Redemptions pulled from Panini National Packs
Daniel Thomas and Blaine Gabbert Worn autographed hats!
Autographed 8x10 from Panini Redemption Packs
The Griffin and Jones are both xx/25
This one was huge! Numbered out of 28!
Picked these up for $5 for the pair. Jordan numbered card...Yes Please!
