Matt Laporta sent to AAA Columbus

In a surprise move, the Indians optioned 1B Matt LaPorta to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday to clear a roster spot for Jeanmar Gomez, who will start Tuesday night against the Athletics. LaPorta will have to remain in the minors for at least 10 days unless the Indians put a position player on the DL.

He's one player I have a hard time rooting for.....

My list is actually short for the amount of players I see: Laporta, Alonso, and Jeremy Reed.

Brewers got great use out of CC so I can't complain about the trade. Actually it has opened up my eyes to trading hyped top prospects for Vets to help get into the postseason.
