My 1963 Topps PSA 8 Set thus far...

Hello,

I have decided to try my hand at assembling the 1963 Topps Baseball set in a PSA 8 grade (Although I do have a few PSA 8.5s thrown in there). I know this is going to tak me quite a while, but I've got nothing but time, haha. I think I have 72 or 73 cards in the set so far with a couple of big names (Killebrew SP, Clemente High #, Stargell RC, Freehan RC). It doesnt seem that too many people on this board are into vintage cards, but if you are and you can help, it would be greatly appreciated! I will let the pictures do the talking. (All cards are listed in order by card number)

I assume you've found your way to the PSA Set Registry board, but if not that's the best place to discuss this sort of project. 1963 is a very popular year, so you'll find a lot of support there. I nearly started building this set in PSA 8 a few years ago, but decided it'd be too costly, and if I was going to spend that much I'd rather have a 50s set. But it is a great set with a checklist that's tough to beat. Musial's last card, Rose's first (and Stargell, Staub, etc.), great Mantle and Koufax and Aaron and Mays cards, beautiful design, etc.

Thosebackpages: Thank you for the well wishes. Even with those bigger names (except the mantle and mays, I have something to work with as I have the Rose in a PSA 8 (OC) and the hank aaron in a psa 7. That will offset some (not too much) of the value of those cards when I decide to pick them up!

jcmint: Thanks for your post. You actually made me realize that I didnt even post the scan of my Stargell RC, but it is up now. Feel free to post a picture of yours

smapdi: Thanks for your post. I have looked at the registry forums but I did not think about joining until you advised me to. We will see what type of support we can drum up there

I am working on other sets as well. I will try to post them in the near future. I just decided that this set would be my priority. Thanks for your help!
