After putting this together, I guess I'm partial to UD on-card autos, specifically SP Authentic. I stuck to cards I actually own/owned and/or pulled myself.

#1: 09 Ultimate Inscriptions -->Fantastic Idea, Awesome Cards. "Bossman Junior" = coolest nickname ever

#2: 04 SP Authentic Chirography -->These came with inscriptions, too. Great eye appeal!

#3: 02 SP Authentic Chirography -->Big names + on card autos = awesome.

#4: 03 SP Authentic Chirography -->See above.

#5: Sweet Spot baseball autos (any, except that year they used crappy pens/markers that faded) -->The bat barrel cards are nice, but the glove-type ones don't do it for me. I'll stick to the traditional red-stitch baseball autos.

HONORABLE MENTIONS
00 UD Legends -->Sharp-looking set full of big names

06 SP Authentic Sign of the Times (Chirography, too) -->Sharp looking set, IMO. Too bad they're marred by stickers!

In-person autos on your favorite set -->Not much else to say about these except you know the autos are legit. '62 & '87 are two of my favorite card sets of all time, so to have a Yankees' HOF'er auto on these is a good thing.

Yes, I know that 2011 Heritage has on-card autos of legends and is styled after my favorite set, but I don't own any of them yet, so I didn't include them in my list (though I likely would have them on here if I had any).

The masterpieces box topper autos are really sweet, but one thing I'd disagree with is diamond kings auto...really don't like that product.

i LOVE diamond kings, the design is awesome... and the packs are fun to open... TONS of parallels (nice looking ones)... it kind of reminds me of UD masterpieces... which also was awesome, imo

5. Fleer GotG. The SPs are what makes them fun, and this is one of my favorite Younts

4. 2005 Reflections is one of my all-time favorite releases, and these patch-autos are great

3. However, 2005 Artifacts topped the patch autos. It was another great release (that UD royally screwed up in later releases).

2. I like the Sweet Spot balls, but the bats just seem to pop a little more

1. And this last one, I might be in the minority on, but they are SP's, On-Card, with GU, and from a well-designed set... could also have something to do with this being my other favorite auto.

1. 2000 UD HoloGRFX A Piece of the Series Autos /25
To my knowledge this is the only on-card auto set featuring a World Series used memorabilia swatch. Limited to 25 or less and featuring the key stars of the Braves/Yankees '90's teams.

2. 2001-2005 Topps All-Time Favorites (& Archives) Autographs
Along with the HOFers/mega stars, this set incorporated many minor stars who wouldn't typically have other autos.

3. 2001-2005 Donruss Recollection Autographs (all years)
Seem to be a favorite among all collectors. Produced in limited quantities, these are a real challenge to track down.

4. 2005 Ultimate Signature Immortal Inscriptions
Don't have any in my collection to show, but I'm surprised no one else posted this set yet. The gold standard for inscription sets.

5. 2003 SP Authentic Chirography
Chirography has had some amazing looking auto sets over the years, but the 2003 one is by far my favorite.
