How do you prep a jersey # for an autograph???

A few months ago, someone posted detailed instructions for prepping a jersey to get signed, including a product to put on the number so that the autograph doesn't bleed.

I can't seem to find the post.

Can anyone help me out here? I'm going to Piratefest this weekend, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jerseys ( Best signed on the Number ) = Deco Paint Markers or Srx Metallic Markers. Use a fine tip. I have found that a sharpie fades.

Be sure to prep the marker before you use it, whichever one you get. Scribble on your arm or a piece of paper. You well get better marker flow.

Thanks for the responses. Does anyone remember what product was recommended for spraying or brushing on the numbers before the autograph?
