Well the media was reporting a direct quote from Williams. So he was either playing them, lying, or has no clue what he's doing anymore.

And given the moves of the past couple of years, the third option might be the most logical.

The White Sox may be “in strong” on Yoenis Cespedes, reports Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com. One White Sox person forcefully told Knobler "we are not rebuilding," despite Kenny Williams' statements to the contrary.

Sergio Santos trade looks like a pile of buttmud right now. If the White Sox tank in the 1st half, Santos would probably bring a nice package of prospects at the trading deadline or could have been packaged with other players like Rios or Beckham.
