Hideki Okajima signs with Yankees

He did some great things with the Sox but his he's certainly way past his prime. I wonder if the Yankees are doing this because they really want him, or if it's a subtle jab at the Sox.

It is a minor league deal - Okajima is probably not even guaranteed to make the opening day roster.

He has a great WAR rating and doesnt let hitters get on base which is good. This is a solid signing.

This has nothing to do with taking a stab at the Sox. It's just a minor league deal to create competition for a lefty bullpen spot. He isn't guaranteed to even make the roster.
