Searched and didn't find one.

I figure there has to be more Nolan Ryan collectors than just me. Maybe enough for some discussion, photos, pick-ups, etc. Post away.

These came in today. I normally don't go for autos that aren't pack pulled or JSA certified but these were dirt cheap. I'm planning to have them slabbed by BGS/JSA.

It's like a Nolan Ryan water fall. Nice stuff. I love the chrome refractor reprints of his cards. I'll probably tackle that set at some point. What were those out of?

Was actually thinking about creating this same topic earlier today (scary)....Just started on the 1999 Finest refractor set myself! Enjoy

A few pics...have about 10-15 more autos I need to scan/add.

Love all the autos. Especially those Triple Threads. They always look nice.

My main focus for 2011 has been getting one copy of each card made in 2011 and then going back and picking up other autos where I can. I think I'm up to just under 60 at this point. Long way to go.

All I have of Nolan Ryan is a 16 X 20 "Bo Knows Nolan" It is the last thing my grandpa bought for me before he passed away of throat cancer in 2007. It will never leave my collection no matter what. I would sacrifice my clothes before that piece sold.

Wow, nice stuff guys! Love the autos. I'm a big Ryan collector but don't have the coin to pick up his signature. Have two autos that I received as gifts though. Not an auto, but I did pick up this tough issue last year:

05 Prestige AL West Champions. Print run pretty low, can't recall exact number but I'm pretty sure it was <50.

I hope you never have to give that one up. It sounds amazing.

If you ever choose to move your collection please contact me on this. I have lost out on everyone of these that have come up. I have only seen 3 of these come up for sale the last few years.

What exactly is that? Never seen one before and it doesn't look like a standard card.

Not sure if he still has it, but growing up, my buddies dad had a HUGE Ryan collection. I was into Rickey, so I collected, but I don't remember how big it was. 4K? He may have included doubles too, I don't know. I remember when the Donruss/Coke cards came out, that's all my buddies family drank until he got a few sets.

Box toppers. They covered the top of the box as a bonus. Not sure if every box had them or what. I think I may have been lucky enough to see one Rickey, but then again I don't think I have seen one.

Nice pulls.

I just got back into collecting last year and didn't open a ton of wax. Even back when I was a kid and did open a ton, though, I have NEVER pulled a Nolan Ryan card, much less a hit. I just get them off the bay instead since he's the only thing I buy. Cheaper in the long run than packs.

Rickey doesn't have one of these. He does have a 2003 glass plaque signing bonus.

Here are my boxes of BGS graded Nolan Ryan cards. I'm working on having my entire collection slabbed. I'll post an individual picture of one each day.
