Topps doesn't do many buy-backs anymore. But you have to think that, as the Heritage series draw closer to availible stock-piles, you'll see buy-back autos from famous rookies pop up.

Personally, I'd love to see buy-back '75 Yount and Brett RC autos.

I'd love to see the Score Bo Jackson signed card, as well as the 1987 Classic Green. If the fees for him at shows weren't so high, I'd probably get both done.

From what I've read, Ripken won't sign any of the FF cards. He may have changed his policy, but that was the last I heard.

the 85 Mattingly / Winfield would be nice, along with the 1984 Bench/Yaz card. Bannister can be a tough signature, so I doubt he'd be willing.

I've never seen a Leonard Garcia signed 1969 Topps Rodriguez card, but that could be interesting.

Interesting you should mention the 1967 Champs card. I have one of them signed by Hank Bauer, and have been meaning to get the Robinsons to sign it to complete it. I'm sure most collectors would be fine with just their signatures, but since Mr. Bauer passed away almost 5 years ago (already? Wow), complete new cards aren't an option.

For more recent ones, how about a Derek Jeter / George Bush signed Topps card?

Yeah. I wasn't really speaking in the context of the thread. I'd like to see them as a sub-set, as oppossed to a 1/1 that might never see the light of day and is so rare that it's authenticity might be called into question (thank you very much Bowman Originals).

Not pack-inserted, but something I had to have when I saw it.

And I'd definitely go after one of those Score Bo Jackson cards.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Bush actually do this. No matter what you think about his politics, he certainly was a good baseball fan. (In fact, there are rumors that Bush asked if he was going to be in line for Baseball commissioner and was going to do that rather than run for Governor of Texas.)
