It doesn't matter, the real NNOF Thomas's have much more missing than just his name. Fakes are very easy to spot due to the nature of how the card was actually made, basically there is no way you can duplicate it without a printing press.

A Thomas collector did win it, so at least you lost to someone who wanted it for collection purposes. It's a record price for a raw copy...by about double...but most of his early stuff is on fire right now.

No, these only show up on ebay a couple time a year. They usually sell for around $160.
