A couple questions about 1997&98 Diamond Producers inserts.

I recently bought a 97 Greg Maddux for $1 and a 98 Frank Thomas for $23 (kinda pricey). They both look pretty cool. I was wondering if the 97 ones are made of real cloth and if the 98 ones are real wood. Also the 98 one had some real chipping issues, so I wonder it that was typical for those. Also it looked like the 98 one was "starting to peel" a couple places among the diamond edges. The peeling looks worse that the chipping.

Speaking for the '98s, chipping issues are a problem especially if you were hoping for grading. The 98 does not seem to be real wood but I may be mistaken.

I'm not into grading, but I do hope it is in at least near mint condition. I wish the seller would have mentioned the issues on the card as the scan of the card was pretty small.
