He was on last week's Hot List and as a result I was watching this...umm wow.

[phil:19x36bnd]350527033805[/phil:19x36bnd] - Golds just touched $400 and now that?

a Gold 9.5 ends tonight for an insane price - [phil:19x36bnd]310374728036[/phil:19x36bnd]

I believe this is a high for a base auto too - [phil:19x36bnd]280817213435[/phil:19x36bnd] which is very interesting given Sterling Refractor Autos sell for roughly the same - [phil:19x36bnd]120851062787[/phil:19x36bnd]

He's reaching Gordon-esque prices...well not really but he's hot!

I bought a bubba orange raw for $505 and it's getting graded right now I'm hoping it's a 9.5 or better so I can flip for over 8 bills

I can not believe that people are paying these prices for Starling. I just can't see how there is a ton of room to grow at $500 per gold auto. That is absolutely insane.

There are so many better buys in 2011 BDP if you ask me.

I saw on another forum that the current bubba gold at $500 was shilled

That would make sense. I know this kid has a ton of potential, but $500 for a gold auto is nuts considering there is a decent amount of risk, and he hasn't even played any minor league ball yet.

That was put to rest by Eric Hosmer, if not before him.

Gordon

Butler

How did those investments turn out for people?

If you bought at the right time and held/are holding...both players could still be very profitable.

I made 8500.00 on Butler (profit). I made over 15k on gordon but ended up buying all the golds and ended up 9600.

If Bubba's cards hadn't doubled, I'd still be looking to sell at this point. Strange how the hobby works.
